About

Meadowlark + Mahonia emerges as an eclectic coming together of art, nature, and bioregional herbalism, and it serves as the platform of Mia Henderson's creative offerings. These offerings are inspired by the profound divinity of nature, and a deep passion for folk art.

At the core of Meadowlark + Mahonia is intentional, handcrafted creation, and an ever-evolving relationship with earth.

Mia kindly welcomes you to engage with their creations as a way to connect with land, Spirit, and our more-than-human kin. May the cycles of time and nature be revered by all of us, always.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Meadowlark + Mahonia operates upon the ancestral homelands of the Puyallup, Nisqually, and Squaxin (Coast Salish) peoples- specifically upon lands ceded in the 1854 Treaty of Medicine Creek. Mia acknowledges the wholly sacred associations between bioregional plant medicine and Indigenous land use history.  They are committed to stewarding these lands and tending to the plants and fungi in ways that uphold, support, and respect Indigenous knowledge and lifeways.
